The spirit of Christmas in a tree; this tree, fully decorated, was given to me in 2016 by a Buddhist friend. The skirt of the tree, the embroidered white, come from Christmas celebrations in Cairo. The green beads, from Mecca, remind me that our first Christmas gift in Cairo was a decorated Christmas tree from a Muslim friend.

Intentional silence, I find, can lead to a kind of egolessness, to listening and observing, and even a feeling of safety. Thank you for leading me to think about silence! All good things to you now and always.
Thank you, Diane, and the same to you. I am having a quiet moment after a busy Christmas Day. Then I will tackle the dishes. 🙂
